Integration Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Integration Engineer to join our team! This role will be responsible to acquire external data and determining the best path forward to integrate and map it within our platform in a meaningful way for our customers. In this role, you’ll work closely with fellow engineers to develop system integrations and control data flows.  

Responsibilities 

• Work with the customer onboarding team to understand our customer’s goals and data requirements 
• Analyze customer data, develop plans for mapping integrations and data calculations to provide meaningful time-series data streams 
• Collaborate with engineering team in integration solution design, development, and troubleshooting 
• Develop high-quality  scalable, efficient, self-documenting code that follows established conventions 
• Contribute to the engineering body of knowledge 

Participate in Agile Development ceremonies and related practices as a member of a KanBan or Scrum team 

Skills & Experience 

• Node.js, ReactJS, Redux, Sagas, Typescript 
• Working knowledge of SQL, Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Redis, No-SQL 
• Practical experience with MV* architecture 
• Demonstratable experience with: 

• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 
• Micro-services Architecture 
• AWS services surrounding serverless architecture, Cognito, RDS, S3 Buckets 
• Developing and consuming RESTful APIs 
• Pub/Sub principles and Web Sockets 

• Message bus and message queueing technologies 
• Data Streaming and Time-Series Data concepts 
• Data security and encryption concepts  

• Working knowledge of Git for source control management 
• Experience in data science a plus 

• Experience with AWS cloud technologies such as Kinesis, RDS, S3, Dynamo 
• Familiar with monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, and automated testing frameworks 
• Working knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines 
• Strong problem solver 
• Team player 

• BS/BA in Computer Science or a related degree preferred 
• Fluent English
